To Windows, an accented letter is different than a normal letter. You can type any of the accented letters using a special code.
- Hold down the ALT key.
- Using the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard, type the code below.
- Release ALT.
If you're using a laptop computer, the numeric keypad is built into the letters on your keyboard. Hold down the ALT and FN keys, and use the small numbers on the letter keys towards the right side of the keyboard.
Note that the capital letters have an altogether different code than the lowercase letters. Now for the letters:
